Wow. If you ever want to see some SERIOUS stupidity at work, go look at the blowhards that comment on virtually any article on the Seattle Times site. Holy crap. The only thing worse than a troll is a self-important troll.

If you're wondering why the hell I'm up at 6 am on a Sunday (which you should! it's not right!), I had to drive the aforementioned girlfriend to work at 5:30. Oh happy day. But, in making the best of it for once, I think I'll go be productive instead of passing out again. Homework ahoy! After I'm done wandering on livejournal, that is.

I'm at home, cuddling with the dog and playing around online when I should be reading contracts. Shocking, right? Heh.

I have my first mini-interview (short phone call) for a firm job tomorrow. It's for a big firm in Seattle. I'm thinking it's the threshold to see if they want to actually interview me or not. (The big interview would be unlike ones I've had in the past -- they last half a day or more. Ouch!) But I would like to undergo that trauma because it'd be a great gig for me.

Wish me luck!

Test 2 is tomorrow. This one's an 8-hour take-home in Con Law. Had the first test of my law school career on Wednesday, a 3-hour in-class test for Civil Procedure, and think it went reasonably well. (Read: coulda been a whole lot worse.) Last test is Torts on Friday (another in-class one) that has the potential for disaster, but then I'm done for the term. Hooray!

So far law school isn't too horrible, although I always feel like I should be doing more.

That said, I can't really gauge my progress because it all comes down to the end. The most generous course I'm taking now gives 15% for everything other than the final. Meaning for all my classes, the big test is worth at least 85% of my grade. Huzzah! *dies*

In sum: things are going ok, and I'm hoping for the best.

Now your turn: tell me what you're doing!

Lookin' to buy a car in the next month or so. (Reliable. Newish. Drives across country. Etc.) So if you know anyone trying to sell something of that nature ... just sayin'.

What does your drawing say about YOU?

(What can I say? -- I'm feeling snarky tonight. Also, this is why I will never score a gig making art on computers.)

The State of the Union is hazy at best.

In non-political news, the term is off to a good start. I think it's going to be a lot of work. Surprisingly, my most boring class so far is my senior seminar on the Supreme Court. I think my TA stuff will be both challenging (especially for the legal reasoning one) and good. I'm into the Environmental Law books, so hopefully the class will be good, too. The teacher is Judging Amy's dad -- which is kinda awkward, cuz I think she's hott. (Remix: "Hot for Teacher's Daughter"?) And lastly, I'm not so into Statistics but at least I'll be learning something new... and, more importantly, apparently you can pass without actually doing anything.

Neato. =)

I looked at this a bit ago, actually. Now I'm looking more thoroughly and liking it a lot more. And, perhaps just as importantly, the deadlines are working in my favor.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

This is the year I graduate.

... And now it occurs to me that I need to figure out what the hell I'm doing after I graduate. Damn.

I usually don't make New Year's resolutions, but this one's been a long time coming:

Spend my time and money wisely.

I'm not quantifying that at this time, but it's a start.

Happy almost New Year!

We're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't.

* Well, I'm annoyed with the news but having a mellow, good day overall.

My solution to prevent any possible stress was to pretend it's not Christmas, go to an open coffeeshop, have tasty coffee and snacks, and read an entire book. Happy.

My current GPA for the term is a 4.190. Uhhh, I know it's going to go down when the other grades get posted, but yer damn right I'm basking in the glow of its current state.

Now to finish that one lingering final I've been putting off ... I started off yesterday with 3/6 classes finished and ended the day with 5/6 done before heading out to dinner, so that's pretty good. But yeah, I need to finish this shit. Maybe it'd help if I stopped looking at my grades and just made sure I'd pass this last class as a first priority. =P
